The Poker Stop-It List wasn’t written by a mega pro. It was written by a fellow human who just loves (and now crushes) the game. I’m an established author. I created a blog followed by millions, as well as various books.
Over the years, my followers never knew that I had a secret life playing poker. I wrote about parenting, relationships, life, introspective topics, and shared lots of opinions and stories. My gift has always been putting complex concepts and human dynamics into words that others connect with and understand. So, why not do it with poker, too?
Many years ago, the nickname my opponents gave me was “Donkey Dan”. I rightfully earned it. I was so bad at the game. I gave away endless money playing hyper-aggressively and having way too much fun.
But…
Losing hurts, especially when you lose repeatedly. I wanted to be a player who didn’t just start to win. I wanted to crush the game, and I dedicated myself to doing so. It took a few years, and a lot of study and self-reflection, but I finally did.
I must have read more than 50 poker books in those days, and in the end…I felt there was one very important book missing. You see, it did not matter how much I learned about the game, I was still somehow a losing player. It was only when I stopped focusing on the things I should do, and started focusing on the things I shouldn’t do, that my game really took off.
That’s what this audiobook is. It’s the audiobook I wish I would have had when I was first studying poker. I would have become a winning player exponentially faster.
Simply put, this audiobook lists the things you need to stop doing. Immediately. Doing that (and understanding why), have the power to take your game to a consistently winning level.
Poker is the hardest game in the world. I believe I was able to put poker concepts (and the human dynamics that go with it) into words that are so much easier to grasp. From one human to another, I hope this audiobook does incredible things for you and your game. Now, go and crush it.
